“Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”

— Eleanor Roosevelt

When I visited New Orleans for the first time, I somehow got caught up in a parade on Canal Street. I turned to the stranger next to me and asked why they were celebrating. He looked at me, smiled, and said, “Because it’s Tuesday!”

Four years, one psychology research lab and two psychology internships later, I decided to pursue… fashion. I’ve loved everything about fashion and styling since I can remember, and even created a book full of original fashion sketches when I was 10. When I get asked why, despite my degree, am I pursuing fashion, I respond, “why not?”

A reason isn’t needed to do something that makes you happy. Life is too short to wait around! I whole-heartedly believe in the idea that looking good makes us feel good. Today is a gift to be celebrated; wear something you love, even if it’s just a random Tuesday.
